Rules of Play

Rules of Play

1.      The format is a Texas Scramble (best ball) with a minimum of three drives to be used by each member of the team, leaving three open drives.

2.      Mulligans will be sold at registration for those who wish to purchase them. Mulligans will cost $5 each (only one per player) and there is a maximum of 5 Mulligans allowed per team. The team captain will mark on the score card when Mulligans are used.

3.      The handicap of each team must add to a minimum handicap of 110. The team's handicap can be over but not less than 110. In the calculation of the team total handicap, the maximum handicap to be used is 40 for women and 35 for men if the actual handicaps are higher than these limits.

4.      Teams must have at least 5 members to be eligible to win the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes.

5.      The player that has his/her drive chosen can not hit the second shot. The exception is when the drive lands on the green and the player that hit the drive is allowed to putt.

6.      Maximum two putts per hole. If no one on the team gets into the hole on the first putt, everyone is to pick up their ball and two strokes are added to the number of strokes needed to get to the green: e.g. on in 3 + 2 putts = 5.

7.      Ladies will use the yellow and red tee blocks and men will use the blue and white tee blocks.

8.      Qualification for - Closest to the Pin - competition on the number16 green requires a drive from the tee box to be on the green. There will be separate prizes for men and women.

9.      The -Closest to the Wiggly Line- competition will be on the number 9 fairway. There will be separate prizes for men and women.

10.   Hole-in-One, Closest-to-the-Pin, and Longest Drive competitions are for amateur golfers only.

11.   The Hole-in-One competition for $25,000 is on hole number 12. A spotter will be on the green to verify any claims.

12.   The Hole-in-One competition for a return flight for one (1) to Vancouver on Tofino Air is on hole number 7. A spotter will be on the green to verify any claims.

13.   A Longest-Drive competition will be held on hole #18. There will be separate prizes for men and women.
